Fall for Dance!

Hargrove Memorial Amphitheatre at Centenary College, Shreveport

Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet kicks off its 46th season in a new, outdoor location, with food trucks, and a free performance!

Enjoy an afternoon of dance at Centenary’s Hargrove Memorial Amphitheatre. The Hot Dawg Hut, Jimbeaux and Sons, and Sophie’s Italian Ice with have food trucks on-site, so you can grab a bite and support SMB.

Fall for Dance! 2019 features Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet performing classical and contemporary choreography by Ian Poulis, Keith Lee, Yves De Bouteiller, and Violeta Angelova, as well as performances by special guest, Endeavor Dance Incorporated!

Children in the audience will have the opportunity to join SMB artistic director Kendra Meiki on stage during intermission for a ballet lesson.

This performance is free and open to the public. No outside food or beverage please.


The Nutcracker

Riverview Theater, Shreveport

Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet and Artistic Director Kendra Meiki bring the holiday classic The Nutcracker to life with a cast of more than 100 local dancers and music performed by the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra under the direction of SMB Music Director Kermit Poling. The Nutcracker will feature guest artists Marena Perez and Daniel Ramirez Saez from the Mauro Ballet Company of Puerto Rico.

Tickets for The Nutcracker range from $25 through $45.

Enjoy this classic tale in a performance featuring SMB's Senior Apprentice Company and SMB’s "A Chance to Dance" participants. "A Chance to Dance" is a collaboration with Volunteers of America Lighthouse and provides classical ballet instruction and the opportunity to perform onstage in a professional quality production to children who might not otherwise have this opportunity.

Reserved seating is available for $12.00. General admission is $10.00 for adults and FREE for children 12 and under.
