Sara Mangum, Office Manager

Sara Mangum, is a Shreveport Native and seasoned operations professional with a strong entrepreneurial background and a lifelong connection to the performing arts. As Office Manager for Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet, Sara combines her strengths in business management, systems organization, and team coordination to help the company run smoothly behind the scenes.

A Graduate of Bossier Parish Community College, with an associate’s degree in general science, Sara also brings years of experience as a business owner and administrator. Her attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage complex logistics makes her a vital part of SMB’s leadership team.

Sara also has a deep-rooted love for dance, having trained for many years at Carol Anglin Dance Center. She was a company member with The Louisiana Dance Foundation and received instruction in classical ballet, Horton, jazz, and tap under renowned instructors such as Keeley Pratt and Diane Mahoney, as well as various guest artists through the years. Her performance credits include multiple seasons with The Russian Ballet’s The Nutcracker and appearances in SMB’s productions of Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel.

Now a proud wife and mother of two — her daughter a budding dancer and her son a competitive swimmer — Sara is grateful to stay connected to the art form she loves. She is honored to support SMB’s mission and help create a thriving, organized, and inspiring environment for the next generation of dancers.
