Scholarships & Financial Aid


Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet is committed to making classical ballet accessible to young people and families in our community through scholarship support. Need-based scholarships are available to assist SMB Company dancers with costume fees and summer workshop tuition.

The merit-based Beverly Williams Memorial Scholarship provides a full-tuition scholarship to the Shreveport Dance Academy Summer Intensive workshop for dancers showing outstanding talent for and dedication to the art of classical ballet. This award is available each year to current company members.

Applications are available online for need and merit based scholarships. The deadline to apply for all scholarships for the 2019-2020 season is April 3, 2019. Online scholarship applications for the 2020-2021 season will be available in March 2020 and must be submitted prior to company auditions.
